#2 - I am in trouble prayer

Daily Word - Jan. 24th, 2019

This prayer is usually prayed as one is falling on ice, or experiencing a situation of which you have no control over and we call upon a super natural God to intervene. I do believe He hears these prayers just as He does serious formal prayers. Upon hearing His child’s cry for help I believe angels are commissioned to help in whatever way is needed. I know that sometimes the best prayers are ones that are prayed in an urgent moment.

Scripture even says to “call on me (God) in times of trouble. Go into prayer just as you would talk to your dad, or a close friend. It isn’t complicated to talk to Him. We don’t need to use “thees and thous”. God understands plain simple English.

While growing up my mom would say “ honey God already knows everything before you even tell Him”. So since He does already know everything just open up and be yourself.

When I hurt I don’t try to hide it from Him. I talk to Him about how bad I hurt and why. I have literally hurt so bad all I could pray was “God hold me!” And He always does.

When we went thru the loss of our son I never tried to hide how I felt from God. I felt robbed, I felt betrayed, I felt a whole lot of heartbreak. I never held this inside of me. God already knew how bad I felt and yes I confirmed it to Him. He in turn met me with comfort, from letting me have dreams of my son to people actually seeing him riding beside me while I was driving alone in the mountains of Nicaragua.

I shared this testimony before. A interpreter who was working for us that did not know anything about us told Rusty that I was not riding alone. That there was a young man riding beside me as I drove behind him and Rusty in the mountains of Nicaragua. He said the young man had shoulder length hair but his face wasn’t clear cause when he and Rusty would get close to me and my van he said the young man’s face was glowing. Rusty told the interpreter, “you go and tell Belinda this when we get back to the hotel”. The interpreter told me and yes I cried! God is your greatest comfort in your time of need “IF” you will just let Him.
