#4 - Prayer of Deliverance

Mark 9:25-29 New King James Version (NKJV)

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.

28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”

29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.

The prayer for deliverance is one that all church leaders and Christians should be confident to do. After all we are taking this world for God’s kingdom so removing Satanic strong holds should be at the top of a Christians list. We don’t make league with demonic spirits. We cast them out. We take back what belongs to our Father.

I grew up around my dad casting out demons. I have seen some pretty weird manifestation by demons in a person’s body. Yes they are real, and no they are not your friend.

Some play with things as if you can use them and then set them aside. It does not work like that. If you are playing with the satanic realm you are opening yourself up to death and destruction. You can not cast spells for prosperity. Oh you can try but look at every nation where Voodoo or satanic worship is widely used and you will see a nation of poverty, Haiti being one example.

Usually when the presence of God shows up in a meeting that is when demons will manifest if they are in someone who is present. If the person desires to be free than we will pray deliverance over them. If they are not serious about getting free and living a God filled life than we are doing nothing but making them worse. By that I mean if we remove all the demonic occupants and the person does not fill his life with God Then all those demons will return bringing even more demons back with them.

Matthew 12:44-45 New King James Version

44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

The choices are simple, you belong either to God or you are available for Satan to destroy because you have no cover. There is no way I would want to be uncovered and venerable to Satan and all his imps.

And when you do cast out demons we must remember this scripture:

Luke 10:20 New King James Version

20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven

Fill yourself with God, then step up and claim people back for the Kingdom.
