“A man of God’s Bible”
As many of you know my mother passed on to heaven Dec.26, 2023. I miss her dearly, but I know where she is. She is rejoicing with my dad on the hills of glory! I had asked her several years ago that when she passed could I be the one to receive my dad’s Bible. He was an anointed preacher. I remember him preaching on how God could do miracles. How Jesus came to deliver those that were bound by the devil. He made bold statements of faith and God always backed him up! As I opened his Bible to look thru it I realized every word was alive! I could hear him preaching on the verses I saw underlined. I saw the scripture in 1 John 3:8 “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” It was underlined & outlined several times. I recalled him quoting it when he had broken his ankle and he was supposed to speak at a meeting. He said, “I can’t hobble out there and preach on faith like this!” So, he put that scripture into action as he stood in the broken ankle and dared to believe God would heal him as he broke out in a run down an ally. He said the devil told him “what are you gonna do if you get out there and fall?” And dad replied to the devil, “what are you gonna do when I don’t?” God healed him instantly. His bones popped as he ran on that ankle but as he turned to run back to our bus he was healed! He preached that night on faith a healed man! There is so much to soak in as I view this mantle from not just my dad, but this man of God who wasn’t afraid to have faith. I saw one note on a page that said, “lame man….” And then had the man’s name and date. There is so much to take in. I pray I can be used half as much as he was. God is ready to release more on those who ask. I am asking! I always said my favorite part of the movie “Tombstone” was when Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer) said “I’ll be your Huckleberry”. What does “I’m your huckleberry” or “I’ll be your huckleberry” mean? It basically means you’re up to do something for someone. In other words, you’re in for the game or the task at hand. For Doc Holliday, he meant that he was ready to fight the taunting, Johnny Ringo. We need to have faith, then we need to use that faith. Let’s stretch it, let’s reach for more in God than we ever thought possible! Let’s be what God can use! Swing for the fences!Pastor Belinda🌷
