“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Tim. 4:7
This is one of the final statements from possibly the last last known epistle by the Apostle Paul. He makes this three-part declaration at the end of his race here on earth. He said he had caught well. Undoubtedly, he did. Tens of thousands had come to know Christ through his efforts and tens of millions since his passing through his writings. Though he is dead, yet he still speaks. Second, he said, “I have finished my course.” He finished his assignment here on this earth. In reality I wonder how few Christians can truthfully say this; they have finished their assignment. I’m afraid too many have taken the position of King Saul in 1 Samuel 15 when he said, “I have performed the commandment of the LORD.” He only claimed to have finished the assignment that he had been entrusted with, when in fact he had not. Is your life in alignment with your assignment?🤔 Are you putting yourself in a position to fulfill God’s assignment for your life in this season. If not… then ask yourself, “What has He asked of me?” Or “What does God want me to do?” And remember… Keep the Faith!
