Amazed In His Presence
WORD. Dec.1 - Pastor Sheliah.
“You place Your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; too great for me to understand!” (Psalm 139:5-6).
I join David in singing of my amazing God! He really does know everything about me, and yet He loves me – unconditionally!
Perhaps you too have found yourself in some stressful situations recently. Seems that especially in those times, I am reminded of how God has prepared us with everything we have need of! And there’s a new awareness of His amazing grace working in me these days!
I get most energized when I know that Holy Spirit is being manifested through me. When He is touching and changing lives as He speaks words of Supernatural Life and Power. Now I rest and watch what He is doing. I just get happy to be there with Him!
He even knows my thoughts! Not only does He know my words, before I say them, but He also changes them – as He has done several times in recent days – so that His wisdom and glory are manifested – not mine!
Just as David, we can declare His glory and majesty in our lives! Do it! Declare His great love and amazing work in you! He loves being involved in the things you do!
“O Lord … You know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts … You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do …You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and You follow me... I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!” (Psalm.139:1-5,7)
Why would we ever want to leave the place of His Presence and His overwhelming love for us?
Paul, was amazed by God’s grace and love to him. He was so changed when He met Jesus that he with conviction could write:
“I’m so grateful to Christ Jesus for making me adequate to do this work … I was treated mercifully because I didn’t know what I was doing – didn’t know Who I was doing it against! Grace mixed with faith and love poured over me and into me. And all because of Jesus” (1Timothy.1:12-14).
What an amazing loving God! He knows you, He chose you, and He likes you! He has made you for His purpose and will use you in the most “Outrageous” ways – when you get over yourself and allow Him be amazing through you! ~ Shelia Hart Artt
