Appearing of the Glory
Appearing of the Glory - Sept. 29, 2018
“For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in this present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our God and Savior, Christ Jesus,” Titus 2:11-13 NASB
I love this translation of this text. It brings a subtle thought to the table that the KJV does not. That we are not just looking for a “Glorious appearing” of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but we are “looking for the appearing of the Glory of our God.”
For those of you who have a true prophetic heart you have an expectation of the appearing of the Glory of our God. While the rest the church world seems to only have an expectation of destruction and darkness.
Song of Solomon 5:2 describes a sleeping bride whose heart is awake. What a picture of the church at large. We take our world view from the nightly news (no wonder we are depressed). But there is an awakened heart rejoicing at the sound of the voice of her beloved. I liken this to those prophetic hearts out there, who are awakened to the expectation of the appearing of Glory. Remember the “latter house shall be more glorious than the former house.” Haggai 2:9
“Think on these things.”
