Awake, O north wind; come, O south wind!

Daily Word - August 15, 2019 🌷

Awake, O north wind; come, O south wind! Blow on my garden so that its fragrant spices may send out their sweet smell. May my beloved come into his garden and eat its delightful fruit. SS 4:16

Many times when I fall asleep it is with the prayer on my lips “God please blow upon my garden! Let the movement of the Holy Spirit move in me causing a sweet fragrance to flow forth out of me!”

In Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit filled the room it was like a mighty wind. It says that there appeared to be tongues of fire upon their heads. I would have loved to have been in that room!

Acts 2: 1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them

I think speaking in tongues has been so tabu because when you allow the Holy Spirit to speak thru you you are totally submitted. Even though you have the control to stop it at any point you have to yield to Him. It’s a point of submission to the Lord letting Him fill you so full that it runs out of you to over flowing!

I want to encourage you to ask God to fill you. The experience is wonderful! It is a gift to us all from the Father. It is a comforter that provides help to us!

Jesus said “16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper, that He may be with you forever” John 14:16

It’s kind of like my car in a way. Say I own it, I drive it, I enjoy all it has to offer, except I am afraid of turning on the air conditioner because I have never used one before. I ride around enjoying my car but not to its fullest. I set in the drivers seat sweating and wishing it was colder out. All I have to do is push the on button to the air conditioner and I would be riding around a lot more comfortable. I let fear keep me from the comfort I could have making my life so much better. I don’t have to use the air conditioner though it came with my car, but I would be better with it than with out it.

I would encourage you to seek God and all that He is!
