Be willing, be ready, give it all you have got!

No matter what you are handed we should do it with a whole heart as unto the Lord. Put your best forward. A half hearted try with an attitude of “I really don’t care” is not putting your best forward.

I remember when I was about 14 yrs old. My family was attending a crusade in Dallas, Texas. When we arrived the minister came to us and was telling my dad that the piano and organ player they had scheduled to play for the meeting had not and was not going to show up. The auditorium was mostly full. My dad volunteered me to play. I wanted to just die! I had been raised to do my best. I had only just learnt to chord the piano. I was a drummer! Times had changed and my sister who played the piano was getting married and because of that my dad wanted me to learn to play the piano and I was to teach my younger sister the drums. I just barely knew the keys on the piano. I was not ready to play for a crusade in Dallas! So as I was volunteered I swallowed hard and headed to the stage. As I set on the piano bench in front of hundreds of people who were ready to worship I thought “Oh Lord help me”! So I played what I knew. I played the best I knew how even though I knew I wasn’t very good. I remember the minister handed me $20.00 for my effort. Oh Jesus! I could have died, but I did my best.

Put your best forward at work, at play, for others or for the Lord. He will honor you. God can take a little and make it big! Do your best and by faith God will make it what He needs.

Step forward and watch God bless what you have. Watch Him bless you abundantly.

Colossians 3:23 (NASB)
