Condition and Causation

"If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you." John 15:7 NASB

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you (that is if we are vitally United and my message lives in your heart) Ask whatever you will and it will be done for you ." Amp.

That word abide is from the Greek word "meno" meaning 'to continue be present.' This describes the power center of all prayer life. Abiding in Him, asking what you will. Condition and causation. The simplicity is anyone can have a powerful prayer life; the practicality is God can't be manipulated.

He abides in a realm of truth, that's also where you must abide, to get these kind of results. When God is in every waking moment (and when he is in your slumbering ones too). You can ask what you wish. “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.” Matt 11:25
