Dig your cisterns

“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Hab. 2:14

We were in Pennsylvania this past weekend and were able to share a prophecy the Lord had given about rising waters. That God’s glory was already rising and was going to continue to do so in days to come. As I said this the presence of God began to fill the room and marinate us. It was tangible. I was surprised by this action even though I knew the word that I had given was true. It was as if God was punctuating what had been spoken, kind of like when Jesus prayed, “Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” John 12:28. You felt affirmation. We are at the beginning of God’s glory filling the earth everywhere his people gather and His name is glorified. “This is what the Lord says, ‘Make many cisterns in this valley,’ for this is what the Lord says, ‘You will not feel any wind or see any rain, but this valley will be full of water and you and your cattle and animals will drink.” II Kings 3:16-17. Start preparing cisterns that can hold water. Let us pray, “Father, help us prepare cisterns that can hold water. If our theology or ideology cannot hold water then help us lose them. If our mind set has to be recalibrated so that we are able host your glory, so be it. If our doctrine or denomination is preventing us from holding water then we are a broken cistern (Jer. 2:13) that cannot hold water. Cause the water of your Glory to rise and fill the earth as the waters cover the sea. In Jesus name! Amen!”
