Empty of Vanity

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, but took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:" Phil. 2:5-7 KJV
I love this version of this passage. It brings to a better light a concept concerning the mind of Christ that is absent in modern Christianity. "he made himself of no reputation."
Almost all newer translations render this that "he emptied himself."
After decades of watching ministries function in self promotion, it's refreshing to be reminded of the mind of Christ. In the seventies and eighties we were litturally taught to build
our ministries, and taught nothing of building the kingdom.
But we are in a time of "restoration of all things", and men are trying now to put old clothes on new garments. (A play on words). We are seeing a reversal of Mathew 9:16. Men are trying to attaché old religious conduct to the Kingdom of God.
The days of self promotion have come to a close and it cannot survive in a atmosphere of high octane presence. So it's time to take on linen ephods that we might function in the holy place.
That we might not sweat and reak of the smell of flesh. Ezekiel. 44:17-18. Love ya'll. Keep the faith. Bro Rusty
