“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.” Eph. 5:18
“4And while they were gathered together, He commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift the Father promised, which you have heard Me discuss. 5For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 1:4-5
“3They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:3-4
If your theology or ideology believes you can fulfill God’s purpose in your life without being filled with the Holy Spirit your theology is flawed at best. Without a doubt it is God’s plan for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The some of all doctrines, creeds, and theology do not arise to the equivalency of being filled with the Holy Spirit. You cannot fulfill the purpose of God corporately (the ekklesia) or individually without being filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the only bond that seals the believer (Eph. 4:30). It is the endowment that enables you to walk like Christ. His Spirit inside you in fullness is God’s intent. You cannot become what you are to become without the Holy Spirit. “Be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
When looking for leadership to serve in the the first century church at Jerusalem only three leadership traits were mentioned. “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.” Acts 6:3. “And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit.” Acts 6:5. Ideology, education, and academia took a back seat. “Be filled with the Spirit!”
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is God’s true qualifying criteria🔥. Just sayin’🤔 Pastor Rusty
