God at Work In You!!

-Daily Word-07.20.19-Psstor Sheliah

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” (Philippians.2:13 NLT)

Have you ever thought that you “have a good idea?” Consider this: could this have been Holy Spirit at work in you (all along) ... changing your heart & mind ... so that you now see through His eyes - the very Plan He has for you & your life’s purpose?

Yes! The Best ideas are God’s and He is so patient with you that He will not force you to do something against your will. But He patiently works His work of Grace and Love in your heart - until - even before you recognize it - you are doing the very thing He wanted to do in and through you - not reluctantly, but with a joyful (even excited) anticipation of all He wants to do for you & with your life!

Wow! That sounds like God to me!

Think of the Apostle Paul who thought he was doing God a favor - working on God’s team - to destroy those new “Christian-believers” whom Paul zealously went after because they contradicted what he had been taught about Judaism & the Law of Moses!

But when God stopped Paul in his tracts - first blinded him but soon opened his eyes to the truth of Jesus! And then, Paul opened his mind & heart to ask God to reveal TRUTH TO HIM, God spoke clearly & directly to him:

“Who are you, Lord?” he asked.

And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting!”

Talk about a “changed mind!” Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days. And IMMEDIATELY he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God!” ( Acts.9:20).

Yes! Indeed!God definitely had a miraculous plan for Saul (soon changed to Paul). Yes! God was working in him - giving him the desire and power to do what pleased Himself!

And ➖ He is working in you ➖ changing you, changing your desires, creating such love for Jesus - that “you have the Power to do what pleases Him!”

Live in the fullness of His power and love - He is changing you! What an eye-opening experience! ~ Shelia Hart Artt
