"Hearing God" #2

As we continue on the subject of hearing God I pray you are making progress. I know excepting supernatural things can be hard for those who are new to it. If you are one who needs to understand before you believe it can be harder for you. God is a supernatural being and has never had fit into our box of understanding. He requires faith and trust. Faith is defined as complete trust or confidence in someone or something. So, when we don't understand God its then we must trust Him.

The #2 reason we can't hear God is because of bad theology. We have been taught we aren't supposed to hear. This theology can rob you in your walk with your Father. Malachi 3:6 says "For I am the Lord, I change not;". If He ever spoke to man, He still speaks to man. Learn to trust Him. Listen to your heart. Sometimes God speaks in a still small voice.

Don't let people who don't hear God tell you that you can't. Surround yourself with those who can hear and learn from them.

My dad used to have a saying when it came to speaking in tongues and it can also apply to hearing God. He would say "if you want to know how to bake cookies you don't ask a truck driver, you ask a baker or at least someone who bakes cookies". Don't ask someone who does not hear God's voice how to hear Him, ask someone who does hear God speak.

Blessings,

Pastor Belinda
