"It Runs in The Family"

There are experiences given from the Lord that only come thru seeking Him. The more you learn from Him the deeper He will take you. The deeper you are willing to go the more experiences you will have in Him.

After my experience of being transported in the spirit I was a little afraid to share it with my own mother. We all want to be “normal” and not “weird”. After some time, I worked up the nerve to share with my mother what had happened to me in prayer. I shared how I was in one location and suddenly, I was in another.

As I opened up and shared this with her, wondering what her reaction would be, my mother turns to me and says, “Oh yeah, Well your great grandmother, Ma, used to travel in the spirit and preach at different churches.” She said, “It happened so often to Ma that she finally got to where when someone told her how much they enjoyed the sermon the other night, (when she had actually been at home) Ma would say, “Well, thank you” and would leave it at that.” Wow, here it was in my heritage and I did not know!

Let me encourage you. God has experiences the He has fashioned just for you. It is an experience that will catapult you into deeper things. He knows exactly what will move you into deeper things. Be teachable, be hungry for more of God. Move beyond the first steps of Christian living and reach for deeper things.
