“Let Your Spirit Man Grow!”

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." Rev. 19:7

We as the bride of Christ have the duty to make ourselves “ready” for the return of the groom.

ἑτοιμάζωhetoimáz

A verb:

1. to make ready, prepare

1. to make the necessary preparations, get everything ready

2. metaph.

1. drawn from the oriental custom of sending on before kings on their journeys persons to level the roads and make them passable

2. to prepare the minds of men to give the Messiah a fit reception and secure his blessings

When we prepare the minds of men to give the Messiah a fit reception we secure his blessing. I have said before that we are spiritual beings, having an earthly experience that will last 70, 80 years or so. Then when we shed this earthly body, our earthly experience will end. You are an eternal spirit just having an experience. We make it all about “here” when it needs to be all about “there”.

There are levels of maturity in the heavenlies. There are areas in the heavenlies that you will only be able to access depending on your spiritual level. It is very important that as Christians we educate or familiarize ourselves with the functions of heaven. Prepare yourself for the bride groom. As mortal men prepare ourselves for life. We are educated according to our field of desire. We learn to take care of a home, how to cook, everything to survive here on earth. Just as importantly we are to prepare ourselves as much as possible for the things of heaven. Educate yourself on things eternal.

Being born again is only a baby step. There is so much more! Living a Christian life is never boring if you will allow your spirit man to grow.

- May you grow hungry for more!
