“Listen, Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!” Duet. 6:4

Ever since our last trip to Israel I’ve had some residual phenomena. First of all the week after our return I dreamt for multiple consecutive nights that I was back in Israel. Then I started having Hebrew words showing up in my prayer language. 🤔 (Go figure) One word in particular that keeps showing up that I recognize is the Hebrew word “Sh’ma”, Which means to hear. It is considered the first command in Hebrew culture (to hear). Duet. 6:4 is called the sh’ma because the first word is sh’ma. This passage is a morning and evening recitation used among Jews to this day. But I believe the Holy Spirit is punctuating this in this season, to listen to what God is saying to his people. We are going to need to hear the Lord in days to come like never before. God’s got things to say, are you listening? Let us pray, “Father give us ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Train us to hear your voice like never before. Thank you always for speaking into our lives. Put us on the same frequency as your voice. I am truly grateful.” Amen.
