Little Is Much!

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” (Luke.16:10)
In the almost 50-years that we have been in ministry, we have learned some things that set a compass for our lives. This verse is a reminder of how God has worked in our lives and trained us in His faithfulness and steadfastness.
All attributes of a godly life are gifts of the Holy Spirit. Yet, it is a life-long quest, as we yield to Him, allowing His Power and gifting, not our “human” - natural self - to be in control.
So, the “little things” are actually Big Things as we begin to walk “in Christ.” As we learn to yield to His voice, His guidance in everything we do. Yes! Everything!
“The Lord will work out His plans for my life—for Your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.” (Psalm.138:8)
Yes! Every step you take He is using in His Master plan to “get you where you are going!” He truly does “work all things together for good” - in your life! (Rom.8:28)
- “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin...” (Zechariah.4:10) When we recognize where He has brought us from and what He has brought us through, we know that it has been His love, power and ability that has seen us through these years!
“We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own.
➖Our qualification comes from God. And He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant.
➖This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.” (2Cor.3:4-6)
“Little Is Much When God Is In It” (as Lester Roloff sang)! And it’s true in your life! Faith is a gift from God! (Rom.12:3) Faithfulness is built in your life as you trust and obey Holy Spirit’s working in you!
Even when your “natural thinking” “feels” differently, yield to His urging in your life and soon you will know that “peace that passes understanding” that only comes when your heart and mind agree with God!
