Living by Faith

“ For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. “ ROM. 1:17

The just shall “live” by faith. This phrase is repeated verbatim three times in the New Testament, in Romans, in Galatians, and in Hebrews. It is the foundation of justification in all Christendom. But I’m not sure as believers we fully appreciate what is being spoken. We tend to translate this to mean we are to “have” faith. That a confession of faith is an equivalency. But that is not what is being spoken. It is saying your are to have a lifestyle of faith. You say, “What does that look like?” Good question.🤔 As part of our “discipling” concepts we fail to stress the importance of developing a life of faith. To not only trust God in what He has said, but to trust God in what He is saying. Even if it doesn’t make sense at the time. We are to live by every word that “proceeds”from His mouth.🤔 The just shall live by faith. Just sayin’.
