LOVE TRUMPS DISAPPOINTMENT!

“We can rejoice when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love.” (Rom.5:3-5 NLT)

The dictionary says the antonym (opposite) of disappointment is contentment or satisfaction. But God says it’s LOVE and HOPE!

Right now, I’m working through a big disappointment, and yet, being reminded that God fills my heart with “love” and Holy Spirit gives me “hope” that cushions any disappointment I might experience. Yes! “God does love me exceedingly and He has given me His Spirit to fill my heart with His dear love.”

There is no satisfaction in material or physical things; you’ll always end up wanting more! Nor can you ever be content with passing pleasures or temporary relationships!

But your eternal loving Father not only loves you, He has sealed that love with His living Presence in you - which describes the promise of the Holy Spirit. (Eph.1:13 AMPC)

So, though disappointment came by my house today, my husband reminded me, “If this is not the ‘one’ you can trust that Our Father has something better.”

💧Today it may still be hard for me to accept that things are not as I had hoped, but I Trust that God wants the best for me. He’s strengthening my endurance and I will not be disappointed, because He Loves me and knows what’s Best for me!

His Love defeats your disappointment every time! Rejoice❣️Love trumps Disappointment ‼️❤️ ~
