Manifested Sons

“For the creation eagerly waits for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility – not willingly but because of God * who subjected it – in hope that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now.” Rom. 8:19-22.

Creation longs for the manifestation of the sons of God. This is a cosmic issue. Creation suffers for the lack of the manifestation of Sons. I was watching a news story where a pod of dolphins led a sail boat to a woman who had been swept out to sea twelve hours earlier. The boat captain was a college professor who had just completed his his boat training and was on a maiden voyage with his friends when they spotted a pod of dolphins and were led by them to this exhausted woman, who could not have survived much longer. The professor said he felt the dolphins had led them to that woman. Dolphins, God’s gift to the sea; I wonder if creation performs God’s will for their existence better than we do. They were subjected to the calamity of the fall of Adam unwillingly, without sin. Now they real in confusion to their plight being subjected to share the planet with a fallen humanity that constantly acts outside the nature of God, given to wars, destruction, and chaotic behavior. Creation longs for the days before the fall when their “caretaker”, the first Adam, functioned completely according the Creators will. Does creation serve the purpose of God better than we do? When we look at a man or a woman who is obviously walking outside the will and purpose of God for their life, do we make an assessment or judgement on their character or condition, about how they are missing the purpose of God in their life? If so consider this, are you walking in accordance to God’s perfect will for your own life? Is creation out performing you when it comes to God’s perfect will. How do you consciously and more perfectly succumb to the purpose of God the creator? Mathew 6:33 comes to mind when Jesus said, “But above all pursue his kingdom **and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Before we rail at others for their lack of falling into God’s perfect plan ask yourself are you truly in God’s perfect will? Are you a son in name only or are you a “manifest” Son. Creation longs for the latter.

Just sayin’
