"And it came to pass in those days when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting a Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way, and that way, and when he saw there was no man, he slew the Egyotian an hid him in the sand."
Moses saw an injustice and reacted as a natural man and it altered the coarse of his life. As the people of God sometimes we want to lash out as mere men against the darkness that is encroaching upon our society, our family, in politics, and in culture. Like Moses, we don't realize our own identity or destiny in God. We don't realize the high calling that is on our lives or our identity in heaven. So, we simply function as mere men feeling limited in power against this present Egyptian culture. But I assure you God has called you to higher things and higher power, "that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." It is when we react as " mere men", (1 Cor. 3:3) that we feel impotent.
We are the sons of God. (1 John 3:2). And all creation is waiting for our manifestation! (Rom. 8:19) You are NOT WITHOUT POWER to deal with injustice, unrighteousness, and encroaching darkness, just don't deal with it as mere men. After Moses' revelatory experience in the wilderness he retuturned to Egypt as Moses 2.0 and was able to successfully bring about God's deliverance for his people, God's way, "not by might nor by power, but by God's spirit."
This is warfare and I'm not saying don't fight, I'm saying learn to war by the spirit. Do you remember the poem "If", by Rudysrd Kipling. Read it! Keep yourself in the bond of peace in this season and you will fare better. Don't be reactionary, learn to be proactive through prayer and supplication. Realize your identity in heaven. (Rev. 2:17). And learn to pray with mountain moving capability. Make decrees and call things that are not as though they are. And don't be a winy baby in the kingdom, but rather men and women of God pulling down strongholds of darkness in family, in culture, in the world. Amen!
