Recently my friend Myrt Mohr reminded me of the poem (below) that I had written in 2015! She recognized that I was struggling with some issues and sent me a copy of my own poem!

“Wow!” I thought! “If I’m going to live an extraordinary life, I must face - head on - those things that are challenging me NOW!

So, as Dee Bopp would say, “I had to put on my ‘big girl panties’ and draw strength from the One who redeemed me and called me to this life! So, I cried out for ‘MORE’!”

Then taking my LIfe Verse and once again applying it to my life, I will press on to the higher calling of God in Christ Jesus!

“I want you to know, dear ones, what has happened to me has not hindered, but helped my preaching the Gospel, causing it to expand and spread to many people!” (Phil.1:12 TPT)

~ NO! ~

I never liked the word

I cringed when’er I heard

No room for “Ordinary”

I’ve always said!

~ SO …~

How did I get here?

Where have I been?

It’s not like I’m sinning

But the line is so thin!

~ AND ... ~

Routine — is draining

Mundane – exhausting

There must be something

Deep things are calling.

~ OH ... ~

My heart cries for MORE

… More than before

I cannot be “Ordinary”

I’m starved from my core

~ HE ... ~

Who knows me best

Still loves me most and

I’m created in His image

Designed for His utmost

~ I AM ... ~

Called – I hear the sound

Thundering loudly – all around

Nothing else can satisfy

Life – Extraordinary – does abound…

~ IN HIM! ~

“By His divine engineering He gifted us with all that it takes to live life to the full, where our ordinary day to day lives mirror our devotion and romance with our Maker.

“His intimate knowledge of us introduces us to ourselves again

and elevates us to a position where His original intention is clearly perceived!” (2Peter.1:3 Mirror Bible)
