“Root Causes”

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:2
It is noteworthy that God declares himself to be “Jehova Rapha” (The LORD that heals) at the waters of Marah, (bitterness). Over the years I have found there to be root causes as to why many Christians do not experience healing. They allow satan to assert that he has a legal right to administer affliction. Even though they would claim to be a well schooled charismatic in the subject of healing, they still succumb to a back door brainwash in the recesses of their psyche that allows Satann to have a foothold (or stronghold) to create a thought process that gives satan “the appearance” of a legal right to administer affliction. Now understand this his claim to have a legal right to administer affliction is canceled through the Blood of Jesus. This I not a mantra or slogan, but God’s legal cancelation of satan’s legal access to the subject who has been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. So Satan has to access the mind set of the believer through these back door avenues to hobble and impede the life of the believer. I can name three of these off the top of my head.
1. Unforgiveness… this one is huge. This one action has effectively kept tens of thousands believers from obtaining healing that is readily available to the believer. When desiring to be healed, it is important to forgive offenses that have been committed against you, past or present. Release the captives in your life and let them go free. Matt.18:23-35.
2. Forgive yourself…I know this one sounds like new age Mumbo jumbo, but it’s not. This is a very important step in canceling satan’s claim to having legal rights to function against your life. Sometimes we think we are simply getting our just desserts through the things we suffer and Satan thrives in this mindset of guilt and shame. But understand Jesus’s forgiveness is perfect and you are not allowed to hold yourself in account for past failures. You need to man-up and forgive yourself if your Heavenly Father has saw fit to forgive you perfectly. Then so should you, and in doing so you shut the mouth of your accuser.
3. Open rebellion … this last one is tricky. But submitting one’s life to Christ is just that,🤔, Submission…allowing the Holy Spirit lead the way and call the shots. Rebelling against the voice of your Father will never lead to a profitable outcome. Repent of any open rebellion to your Father and watch healing come.
Father, forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive the trespasses against us, and heal our bodies from all pain and infirmities in Jesus name. Amen. Pastor Rusty
