SHAKE OFF THE DUST

"Shake yourself from the dust, rise up, O captive Jerusalem; Loose yourself from the chains around your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

For this is what the Lord says, 'You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money." Isaiah 52:2,3

Why aren't you dancing. Maybe it's because of this dust. Maybe the wrong adjective is attached to you title. Instead of "glorious daughter" of Zion, maybe it's still "captive daughter" of Zion. But listen to what God has done for you. Though you have sold yourself for nothing. In other words you got nothing for it, you sold yourself out, "for nothing." All you got out of it was an addiction, or a disease, or a broken heart. You sold yourself for nothing, but you have been redeemed without cost. In other words you may have done this to yourself, but you have been redeemed without cost. You may have sold out for nothing but I'm buying you back at no charge to you. Wow!

"I've done for you what you could not do for yourself. I've bought you back at no cost to you!" So if your sitting around feeling depressed knowing your wounds are self inflicted. "Those are the very wounds I'm healing." But you say I deserve this..."it doesn't matter." Those are the ones I'm healing in this season. He's healing the self inflicted in this season. You may have brought it on yourself but you have been redeemed at no charge to you. Isn't this exciting?
