Testimony Time! Faith Works!
Galatians 6:7b ..for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
I remember growing up on a Greyhound bus with my younger sister Deanna, and my mom and dad. As many of you have heard me say before I was a PK, preacher’s kid. Our lives revolved around ministry from the time I was 7 years old to today. Growing up on a bus was fun. Always meeting new friends. Seeing new areas of the country. From Lake Erie at the top of the US to the bottom tip of old Mexico we went, singing, playing music and dad would minister. I home schooled because we were not in one place long enough to attend a regular public school, but then again I had a front row seat to what God was doing! I feel that the spiritual education was priceless! From miracles to disgruntled pastors, I saw it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly, and I still would not trade my life with Christ for anything this world has to offer. It is not God’s fault some people choose to do evil.
I remember my mom gave an offering of corn to someone in need. As she sowed the corn she had, God honored her. We had more corn to eat then ever! Every where we went people would give us corn! Being the potato lover that I am I said to her “why didn’t you give potatoes, then we would have plenty of them to eat!” God honored her giving and He blessed her in return.
He will honor you when you step up and give by faith. Whether it is corn or finances God will honor your faith. Not sometimes but every time! I challenge to “prove” God. Malachi 3:10-11 10 “Bring the entire tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in my temple. Test me in this matter,” says the Lord who rules over all, “to see if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until there is no room for it all. 11 Then I will stop the plague from ruining your crops, and the vine will not lose its fruit before harvest,” says the Lord who rules over all.
About three months ago I had a need for a certain amount of money. I asked God to help. Then I revived a letter in the mail I was not expecting and it read “did you not receive the check for $X amount of dollars we sent last month?” Well I thought “ no! I wish I had!” So I replied to the company that no I had not received any check from them. In about two weeks I opened my mail and there it was! I still do not know why this company owed me money but it was a God thing! God will surprise you with money or provisions from places you never expected.
Try to out give God, I dare you!
