“That’s what God smells like”

I once heard a story of a young girl who was setting at a ball field on a spring evening with her mother. As they set there watching the game a rain cloud began to approach. As the rain came closer the mother remarked, “I smell rain”. The little girl replied to her mother “that’s what God smells like.” The mom asked her how she knew this and she replied “when I was a little baby in the hospital God would rock me. That’s what God smells like.” The mother was taken back by this because when her daughter was born she had spent a lot of time in the ICU. She was so tiny she could not be held by her mother, but God had rocked her during that time.

Do you know what God smells like? It’s not enough to have just as little of God as we can, there has to be more! Are you growing in Kingdom attributes? Do you smell like Him? Do you look like Him?

Let us hunger for more until we awaken in His image!

Psalms 17:15 ..... “I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.”
