The Culling

As I walked into the prayer room (war room) the other day the Lord spoke to me and said, “I’m culling my herd.” I did not feel he was speaking specific about the “Glory Barn” but felt this was about the church at large. In the spirit I could see people becoming offended in Christ and they ceased to follow him.

In John chapter six tells the story of the feeding of the five thousand. Afterward Jesus recedes into a high mountain and the disciples get in a boat to cross to the other side. The people looked for Jesus and couldn’t find him, so they went to Capernaum to find him and when they did, he said, “I tell you the solemn truth, you are looking for me not because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate all the loaves of bread you wanted.” John 6:26. Then he lectured them on pursuing him with wrong motives and after that he intensified his message. The disciples found this message to be so offensive that many left him and ceased to follow him that day. “After this many of his disciples quit following him and did not accompany him any longer. So, Jesus said to the twelve, “You don’t want to go away too, do you?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.” John 6:66-68. The exodus was so severe that Jesus had to ask the twelve if they were going to leave also, but Peter’s response is magnificent. There are those who are going to be offended in Christ in days to come as Jesus allows our motives to be challenged. This obviously going to affect the shallow end of Christianity more visibly. The deeper end is going to experience revival fire (paradox) the fire itself will become a source of offense for those who are compromised.🤔 It seems the Father would rather have a few that are hot than many that are Lukewarm 🤔 mmmm…. That is sooo like Him.

Prayer: “Father strengthen our ties to you. You are our anchor in the storm, you are our source, our supply and all our fountains are in you. Purify our way, our motives, our conscience, make our way pure. Anchor us in what’s immovable, unshakable, and eternal!” Amen. Pastor Rusty
