As we celebrate the 4th of July 🇺🇸and think on the founding of our nation, it’s important to remember that many of America’s Founding Fathers held a profound reverence for God, the authority of Scripture, and the importance of morality shaped by faith.

Men like George Washington, John Adams, and Patrick Henry spoke openly about the necessity of virtue, divine guidance, and religious freedom. George Washington declared, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” John Adams once said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

These beliefs shaped a foundation that honored God as Sovereign, respected the rights of individuals, and saw freedom as a gift from the Creator, not from government.

As believers, we should honor that foundation by upholding the righteousness that exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). Our role is to pray, live with integrity, and let Christ be known in how we steward our freedom.

“Lord, thank You for the faith-filled foundation of our nation. Help us honor You with our freedom and be faithful stewards of the liberty You’ve given us. Raise up leaders who fear You, and let revival start in our hearts. In Jesus’ name, Amen”
