“The Flying Scroll”

"Then I turned to look, and there was a flying scroll! Someone asked me, 'what do you see?' I replied, "I see a flying scroll thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide." The speaker went on to say, "This is a curse traveling across the whole earth. For example according to the curse whoever steals will be removed from the community; or on the other hand(according to the curse) whoever swears falsely will suffer the same fate." "I will send it out ," says the Lord who rules over all, "and it will enter the house of the thief and of the person who swears falsely in my name. It will land in the middle of his house and destroy both timber and stones." Zechariah. 5:1-4

Zechariah's vision of the flying scroll is the sixth vision in his book. In the vision he is asked what he sees and he replies, "I see a flying scroll." The angelic being then explains to him that the flying scroll is a curse sent out over the whole earth and that the curse is law of recipication, that if you stole you yourself will lose your community, if you bear false witness you will be the recipient of false witness. The Law of recipication is throughout scripture, "They that live by the sword shall die by the sword," "judge not that ye be not judged," "blessed are the merciful for they will be shown mercy." That which is sown is also reaped is the law of the universe and and in the vision of Zechariah it is released as a curse over the nations. It is a word that has been written. Christians and non Christians alike believe in this universal principal. It is the basis of the Golden rule and code of conduct, "Do unto others as you would have men do unto you."

Judaism, Islam, and all religions function under the power of this curse, with Christianity being the exception, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." Gal. 3:13. Believers in Christ are the exemption to this curse and all curses created by the law. Judaism and Islam are both under the curse. Modern Judaism rejects Jesus as the messiah, and Islam has reached past Jesus for their own prophet, Mohamed. It's interesting that the word for curse in the Hebrew text is "alah", the same word Islam uses for God.

In the Hebrew text the word "Elohim" translates To mean God and reveals His identity. The Hebrew word "Adonai" translates Lord and reveals his title. But the word "YHWH" represented His name and is sacred. Allah represents nothing, but a people living under a curse.
