The Gardener

- Pastor Rusty - July 18, 2023

“Then the LORD God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made.” Gen 2:8

I simply want to take note that God planted a garden, not Adam. God planted the garden and then put man in it to service it and watch over it. “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” Gen. 2:15. The word there “dress it” is from the Hebrew word “abad” which implies that you don’t have a say in it, you are there to work the garden. The word “keep it” is from the Hebrew word “shamar” which implies you are to watch over it. God planted it but you were to care for it.

“A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.” SOS. 4:12.

The bride is an enclosed garden. You have a garden within. “Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.” SOS 4:16. God still wants to meet with you in the cool of the garden everyday. Let your beloved come into his garden. Get rid of the rag weed in your garden and the thorns and pray. “Father meet with me in the garden everyday…. Help me become a keeper of the garden as it was in the beginning. In Jesus name amen.” Pastor Rusty.
