The moving of the water!

- Pastor Belinda🌹 - May 30 2024

2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gatea pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”

John 5:2-8 NKJV

I grew up watching my dad preach on the pool of Bethesda. My dad was a man of faith. He believed if Jesus said it, it would happen. If Jesus did it, so could we! I remember he would fill a small wading pool with water and after preaching on the pool of Bethesda he would pray over the water and I watched many people step into that water and be healed! Just like in Jerusalem! God honored dad’s faith. Having grown up hearing about this troubling of the water by the angels it meant so much to me to get to visit the site of the pool of Bethesda while we were in Israel. They have found them and have dug them up! As we were there Pastor Rusty led our group in a prayer for healing. Then after, I was able to walk down into the ruins and imagine Jesus coming and healing the lame man! God is still healing! We don’t usually ask him or even believe that he will heal. It’s takes faith to walk in the supernatural. Smith Wigglesworth said it takes about 10% faith and 90% guts! And that’s so true. If you don’t have the guts to try and get up after prayer, you probably won’t receive. We find that when the person is trying to do what they could not is when the miracles happen. Get out of the boat and walk on water! Bend over when you couldn’t! See when you are blind! Hear when you are deaf! God has miracles for you, reach out and take them!
