THE POWER OF GOD❣️
- June.03.23 - #mamashelia
We watched as the young man being baptized, came up from those waters shouting and testifying of the peace and excitement he has now discovered in Jesus. Yes, to see God’s mighty work in his life made our hearts rejoice once again for the power of God to redeem a life from sin!
Earlier this week, we had seen God at work in the life of another man and he was “counting his blessings” for all that Jesus has done - and is doing - for him!
Neither of these men have yet seen the complete “turn-around” from the troubles of their lives, but they have a hope for their future and are experiencing His mercy and Grace in every area of their past!
There is a peace that passes understanding, and doors are opening before them pouring out the overwhelming Goodness of God!
As they experience that inevitable JOY of the Lord, we ourselves are being refreshed by Holy Spirit! Paul wrote to the Ephesian church; “Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created be like God—truly righteous and holy.” (Eph.4:23-24 NLT)
Only God can do that! Your joy in watching others experience God’s forgiveness and love, is often as good as getting saved again!
Makes you want to share the amazing Salvation that Jesus has made possible for everyone! Here’s some scriptures that tell the story better than I can. Read these and Rejoice!
“1 Count yourself blessed, how happy you must be—you get a fresh start, your slate’s wiped clean.
“2 Count yourself blessed—God holds nothing against you and you’re holding nothing back from him.
“3 When I kept it all inside, my bones turned to powder, my words became daylong groans.
“4 The pressure never let up; all the juices of my life dried up.
“5 Then I let it all out; I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to God.” Suddenly the pressure was gone— my guilt dissolved, my sin disappeared.
“6 These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray; when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts, we’ll be on high ground, untouched...
“10 God-defiers are always in trouble; God-affirmers find themselves loved every time they turn around.
“11 Celebrate God. Sing together—everyone! All you honest hearts, raise the roof!
OH THE BLISS OF
OH THE JOY
OF A CLEAN SLATE!
