The River in the Garden

- Pastor Rusty - Nov. 7, 2023

“Now a river flows from Eden to water the orchard, and from there it divides into four headstreams. The name of the first is Pishon; it runs through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. (The gold of that land is pure; pearls and lapis lazuli are also there). The name of the second river is Gihon; it runs through the entire land of Cush. The name of the third river is Tigris; it runs along the east side of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.” Gen. 2:10-12

The consensus seems to be that a river flowed through the Garden of Eden and when it came to the end of the garden, it broke up into four heads. When we were last in Israel”rabbi” Mickey asked us how many rivers are there in Israel? The answer is one. There was one river in the garden when it came to the end of the garden it broke up into our heads. Four distinct rivers came from the one river. Many times the church aligns itself with one specific stream and refuses to cross pollinate with the other streams, all the while missing out on amazing attributes of the other streams. If you only drink from the Pison you’ll miss the attributes of the Gihon. Many who drank from Pensacola, rejected what flowed from Toronto.🤔 Many Howard Brownites rejected Pensacola. All to your own detriment. When you find the head waters you’ll find they all came from the same source, they just had different administrations. Don’t make the same mistake creating a lack of unity. It just shows immaturity. As the restoration of all things is at hand, we are going to learn the principle of drinking from the same stream. The Garden had one river, it is only outside the garden that it broke up into four heads. If you are going to experience the Garden in your marriage you will have to drink from the same stream. Don’t simply except a cease fire as unity in your marriage.🤔 As surely as a husband and wife cannot experience God’s original intent for their marriage when drinking from different streams, the body of Christ must make it’s way to the head waters and begin to drink from the same stream.

“Holy Father, restore the unity of the Spirit again, in the Church, in our marriage, throughout the nations. Like Adam and Eve, cause us to drink from the same source, the River of God. I’m asking in Jesus name! Amen!”
