The Voice Behind You‼️

THE VOICE BEHIND YOU!

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet...” [Revelation.1:10 NASB]

From The Mirror Study Bible, Francois DuToit writes about that same verse: “I was in a spiritual trance where I witnessed the day of the Lord - I heard a loud voice behind me, clear and distinct, like the sound of a trumpet!” [Rev.1:10 MB]

In studying this passage recently, I received a fresh and exciting revelation (understanding) of “The Voice Behind Me.”

And I was reminded of how I’ve always loved the passage in Isaiah 30:21, “Your ears will hear a word behind you, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”

Think of it! When you hear a Voice BEHIND you... that is like hearing a Voice from “the Past” (a “familiar” Voice). And we can know we are perceiving His prophetic Voice. Then we can be assured - we are walking in HIs direction for our life!

His is the Voice of Promise; the Voice of Purpose! The omniscient (all-knowing; all-the-time) Voice of God. The Eternal, never-changing, Life-giving Voice! The exact Voice that has and will propel you into the NOW WORD of God. That Word has carried you through. That Voice that perhaps, though you have heard it, you may have at times even doubted!

But when you hear and acknowledge the “Voice Behind You,” suddenly, you know! This is the Voice of strength! This is the Voice of comfort! This the the Voice of the Holy Spirit completing every Promise of the Father given by the Son to you! (John.14:16-26)

It is His Voice - He is the Living Word - and we exist IN HIM! “For in Him we live and move and exist.” (Acts.17:28)

So you cannot dismiss that Voice Behind You! Every step you take, every breath you breathe, every part of your being is consumed in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 1:2-3 “In these last days (God) has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and HE UPHOLDS ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER!”
