Vision At DownPatrick
Daily Word - Nov. 28.2018 - Pastor Sheliah (As given to me in Belfast, Northern Ireland September 9, 2014)
❤️ I’m thinking this morning of those whom God has sent before us to encourage us in our journey on this Earth… and was reminded of this vision that I had while in Northern Ireland – September, 2014. (DownPatrick is the gravesite of Patrick of Ireland, who brought the Gospel to that island and founded 600+ churches.)
💝 Even now as I think of it – my heart is stirred to think of that “crowd of witnesses” cheering me on to finish my race!
THE VISION AT DOWNPATRICK
Standing upon the rock at Patrick Down Gazing from this heart-shaped mound There in the skies A thousand eyes Were looking back at me.
Suddenly – clothed in golden radiance A blazing fire burst forth in brilliance Upon the mound At Patrick Down The glory all could see.
Shining, blazing red and gold
The Fire of God – all eyes behold
Atop the rock No time or clock Eternally is drawing me.
Surrounded by this cloud of eyes
The Light of Christ I realize
The saints of old So brave and bold Entreating, pleading you and me.
Strip down, start running—never quit! The race is not finished yet Our eyes on Christ He is the Prize Reserves a place that we might be.
Seated with Him in the Heavenly place No longer caught up in this earthly race Our eyes on Christ He is the Prize Perfected in Him – He’s all we see.
Savior, Redeemer, our very Source The Faith of the Saints has set the course We finish the race Appointed by grace In Christ alone – we’ll ever be.

@GloryBarnBranson =============== ❤️ I love the passage in Hebrews 11:39 & 40 – Hebrews 12:1 – and I believe it is depicted in the above mentioned vision: “All these people (the heroes & heroines of faith) earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. (40) For God had SOMETHING BETTER IN MIND FOR US … so that they would not reach perfection without us.”
12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
