“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.” Matthew 3:16.
As we move forward in our walk with the Father we do well to imagine the dove of the Holy Spirit setting upon our shoulder. We walk in a manner to not disrupt Him or to cause Him to fly away. We become aware of things that offend Him. Once you notice a shift in the atmosphere take note of what has happened. We’re we doing something offensive to the Lord? If so stop doing it if you want to keep Him near.
Donot be ignorant to the fact that the dove will not remain if you choose ungodly activity, or venture into ungodly venues. We are catering to the Lord. Our goal is to walk where He will walk. Speaking of ungodly venues. I heard a minister put it this way, they said, I saw a place where demonic activity was being released over a crowd. As people would walk into the building there were two demons setting over the entrance. When people would pass under them the demons would puke on them. This puke was a magnet to draw demon activity to those people. They were then marked and targeted by the Satanic realm.” This is what we would call “opening a door” to the devil. Yes it is real and yes it does happen. Sanctify your life, get rid of the things that do not draw God to you. Things that distract you from walking with the dove on your shoulder. Make a place the Holy Spirit wants to be in.
