What’s your legacy?

In Acts 17:23 “For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship-and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.” The Greeks worshiped many gods, so many that they even built an alter “to the unknown God” just in case they left a god out that somebody wanted to worship! Sounds a lot like today. Many try to make it so that everybody is going to heaven even if they have never received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. On this alter was inscribed “to the unknown God”, we know they were not familiar with God Jehovah so this alter could have been for him. Let’s take a look at what our lives say about us. Do we know Jehovah? In the wake of your walking thru life is there a sign that you walk with God? Is it visible to your family and friends? May we as a people have God written upon our foreheads and most definitely in our hearts!

I have heard people talk who knew my father-in-law, Dale. They may say this or that, that he was a good man, good husband, good father, but they also know just as boldly, he walked with God our father. You can not describe his life without recalling that he was in God’s house every time the church doors were open, he was faithful. He loved his family and he loved God. Our son Cameron went home before Dale. Cameron was only 22yrs old. The week before he passed he said he dreamed he died. I said “Cam you can’t help what you dream, but if everything is right between you and God then don’t worry about it”. Little did I know what the next week held. He replied to me, “mom everything is good between me and God”. Cameron also left a legacy. I can remember watching him worshiping God totally lost in the presence of God. I know beyond a doubt that I will rejoice in heaven with both of them. Let’s leave a Legacy that can not be written without including the phrase “she/he knew God the Almighty Jehovah!”
