“When the Christmas season is hard”

I was setting in my chair relaxing for the evening as I opened up the news app on my iPhone. I skimmed through the stories when my eyes stopped on an article about a family who had in the month of November had to bury their son. Speaking from unwanted experience, my mind couldn’t help but know the pain they are feeling. It’s a bitter taste in your mouth, darker and blacker than any thing you can imagine. I stopped and prayed for them as they try to continue breathing in this season.

Christmas can be a hard time for many people for different reasons. I just want to encourage you. No matter what your life is like right now, there is hope. God can bring a calm to the darkest time of your life. All you have to do is allow him to help you. Ask Him to carry you through these rough times and He will.

This is our 15th year since the loss of our son. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. Yes the hurt still hurts but not as much as it used to. I find that God will bring things into your life that will make life easier. The joy will return. “....weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5, NIV) God cares about you, your well being, your happiness, and even the things that make you smile. Let Him help you.
