Why serve the lesser light?

If you could have power from Satan thru sacrifice and dedication it would cost you everything and your end would be death. He is sent to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)

If you listen to Him you will hear nothing but lies. (John 8:44) Because he is the father of lies and there is no truth in him.

So if you could obtain whatever power you think you could thru serving Satan why would you? It will get you no where. You can not win teaming up with darkness. Rev.20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. He does not win.

Now on the other hand you have God. He is full of light. He restores beauty for ashes. He loves and cares for His children. 1John 1:5-7 God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true; 7 but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

I have seen God demonstrate His power. And just like with the magicians of Pharaoh, Satan can make you think he has power and he does to a degree but then God rolls up His sleeve and leaves Satan and all his demons in the dust!

Satan is a created being he is not on the same playing field as God. So if you are looking to serve someone with power why on earth would you serve the lesser?

Jesus wins! This time, every time, for eternity!
