yOU aRE gOING tO geT wHAT iS cOMING tO yOU!

“YOU ARE GOING TO GET WHAT’S COMING TO YOU!”

Has anyone ever tried to scare you by saying… “You are going to get what’s coming to you!”

Well, today, I want to encourage you when I tell you, “You are going to get what’s coming to you!”

As we prepare for the Tent Revival - next weekend (Aug.9-11 @ The Glory Barn), let’s prepare to “RECEIVE ALL THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU - DURING THESE DAYS - WITH GREAT EXPECTATION!”

Yes! “Because you belong to Jesus, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that causes you to live in fear and leads to death!” To experience that joy and freedom you simply recognize that – contrary to what you may have thought (or may have been taught) – “there is now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus!” (Romans.8:1)

When you received Christ, you did not receive a spirit of bondage and fear! Rather you received “God’s Spirit – because He adopted you as His own children. Now we can call Him, ‘Father,’ (Papa). And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of GOD’S GLORY!” (Romans.8:1-2,15-17).

If you are still striving for salvation, or trying to obey the Law, you are frustrated and defeated, and – even fearful – because you can never “do” enough! Read this passage again:

“The Law of Moses was unable to save us … So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we have. And in that Body God declared an end to sin’s control over us – by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins” (Romans.8:3).

“He did this so that the just requirement of the Law would be fully satisfied for us, who no

longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit” (v.4), and… allowing His Spirit to control your mind leads to life and peace” (v.6).

His resurrection life is full of joy and great expectation of the unbelievable inheritance we have in Christ. So, when we say, “You are going to get what’s coming to you!” as His Child – your anticipation grows as you realize all that is His is YOURS and it’s time that you receive “more than you ever expected!” (Romans.8:25).

What an EXCITING LIFE we have! Living with GREAT EXPECTATIONS OF HIS BLESSINGS in this life and the life to come! Yes! You are going to get what’s coming to you! Good things from your loving Heavenly Father!
