“Don’t miss your burning bush!”

- Pastor Belinda🌷- July 20, 2023

Exodus 3:1-5 1Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. 3So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight-why the bush does not burn up." 4When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am." 5"Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground."

God does great and mighty things. Sometimes He will do something to cause us to stop and realize it’s our attention He is wanting. Like Moses, the burning bush caused him to stop and turn aside to see why this bush was not being consumed in the fire. In kingdom living one must be alert to the things God is doing. This is important especially for leadership so that we do not hinder what God has for us. If we fail to recognize these “God moments” we may totally miss the mark. Missing the mark can mean more trips around the mountain like the children of Israel. They would have been out of the wilderness a whole lot sooner if they would have been obedient to the Father.

Moving forward in the kingdom comes with observation of God’s moving, knowing when it is Him, and knowing what He wants from you. When Moses turned aside to see the burning bush God gave Him instructions which required an action of obedience, “Moses take off your shoes”. If Moses had missed the bush or hadn’t obeyed the instruction from God the out come would have been a lot different. We don’t want to miss the mark. We don’t want to see the promise land and never get to enter it. Kingdom rule #1 always have a heart of repentance. Kingdom rule #2 always be obedient when the Lord has spoken.

I pray you experience more of God as you step forward in obedience as you see your burning bush. Watch for God signs, spiritual tracking them as you go.

Blessings,

Pastor Belinda🌷
