“Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, “If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
Experiencing deliverance is synonymous with receiving truth. Truth about the identity of Jesus and truth about ourselves. People who disconnect themselves from truth always set themselves up for bondage. The Jews upon hearing this word objected saying, “We are descendants of Abraham, and have never been anyone’s slaves! How can you say, ‘You will become free’?” They did not perceive spiritual bondage but 2000 years later we are still interpreting these words from a position of not realizing spiritual bondage that we walk in. Embrace the living word of God as truth and begin to walk in the “teachings of Jesus once again and begin to break free from the bondages of the age. Be free from addictions, be free from pornography, be free from sensuality, be free from alcohol. Instead of exploring what you can do explore what you should do.🤔 “Father, set us free from what enslaves us, that we can run the race that is set before us. In Jesus name , Amen!”
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb. 12:1-2
