“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Rom. 8:28
As you walk through life you’ll find the Christian experience and Christian theory will differ greatly. We tend to over immunize our children from life’s ebb and flow. They never learn until adulthood how to deal with disappointment. You try to shelter your children from life’s negative experiences and when they do come (and they will) they will rock and reel from the experience that they have never been allowed suffer. Romans 8:28 Becomes a mystery to the modern believer. But consider this. First, He never says all things are good…🤔 He said all things work together for good. All things would imply both good and negative experiences will work for the good of those who love God. “Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:3. Patience is produced and there is one way to produce it.🤔
I know it’s a natural instinct to protect your children from negative experiences, but your Heavenly Father never promised to protect you from the pain of the human experience, but He did promise to turn all of life’s experiences into the benefit of those who are in love with him.🤔
Thank you, Father, for your tender mercies are new every morning. You watch over us with loving kindness and goodness and mercy follow me all my days. Amen.
Pastor Rusty.
