The Spirit of this Age -

“You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4 ESV

“in which you once walked. You were following the ways of this world [influenced by this present age], in accordance with the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit who is now at work in the disobedient [the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God]. Eph. 2:2 Amplified Bible

I know some may think this is strong scripture (put on your big boy pants), this is straight from the New Testament canon. This isn’t Old Testament, this is New covenant strategy. It warns about aligning oneself with the spirit of this age. Like Lot of old, who was vexed living in the shadow of Sodom. So many find yourself being influenced by the principality prevalent in your region.

I read where the New York State legislature passed a bill that would require the New York court system, in particularly Family Court, would no longer be allowed to use gender defining language such as “mother” or “father”, but would be replaced by the phrase “gestating” parent or non-gestating parent. If Gov. Hochul signs this legislation, it will become law in New York State. 🤔 I have to admit I am amazed that legislators in New York state… professional politicians, lawyers, and lawmakers, thought this was a worthy, noble piece of legislation that was worthy of all the time it took to write, debate, and vote on in a season where they are so stressed with a massive shortfall of finances, to which they have no answer, but found time to push forward this unbelievable nonsense.🤔 (Are there any adults in the room).🧐 People may be put off by my outrage of this attack on the family unit, but I’m outraged at the lack of “common sense” in the duly elected politicians in New York State. You have made league with the “spirit of this age”. You function with corrupt minds, that have demonic influences, and reason that “this” is good and moral. Your morality is corrupt! Your so called “values” are corrupt. You are alien to the covenant of Christ and to the righteousness of His Spirit. Maybe you can get the Pope in the Vatican to bless your idiocy. But I know that a generation of New Yorkers will have to deal with your deceived misguided alignment with darkness for a time. May God break your alignment born out of allegiance to the spirit of this age. May the walls of the temple of Dagon crumble and fall. (As in the days of Samson). May the Lord Jesus Christ show himself strong in your midst and break off the chains that bind! In Jesus name! Amen! Pastor Rusty
