“As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God!
I thirst for God, for the living God. I say, “When will I be able to go and appear in God’s presence?” Psa. 42:1-2
For a man who lived under the old, he functioned like he was under the new. We live under the new but for the most part are alien from what it is to thirst for the living God. Your theology is a hollow substitute for thirsting after God. Your spirit man understands it, but he has been subjected to hollow religious postering for so long that he has grown silent. It’s a sad exchange that makes us poorer for it. Get thirsty, then get filled.
