"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me"...

Sitting with my husband today while he's being infused at Cox Hospital, I met a couple of new friends and so enjoyed talking with them! But as we talked, I found myself repeating a phrase I had also used yesterday!
Not normally a phrase I would often say, but there it was and there it is and, as it's said, There it's going to be! "Because I Can!"
Simply do what's necessary, do what you feel to do, do what brings joy to your heart, or, best of all, do what God ask you to do!
Do you ever see something that needs to be done, but you walk away and ignore it? Why not just stop and do it, "Because you can!"
Or perhaps, you see someone that you may or may not consider to be needy, but Holy Spirit pricks your heart to help them (physically, spiritually or financially). Do it! With all your heart - "Do it!" "Just because you can," and watch how both you and they get your "socks blessed off"
Jesus was telling us that very thing in the passage with which I started from Matthew:
- You saw Me hungry - and fed Me!
- You saw Me thirsty - and gave Me water!
- You saw Me without a place to stay - and you took Me in!
- You saw Me naked - and you clothed Me for warmth!
- You saw Me sick - and you visited Me!
- You saw Me in Prison - and you came to Me!
Reconcile whatever it is in your heart that hinders you! If you have committed your life to Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit dwells in you, then not only should you - But the truth is - you can't help but "do it!" That's not "guilting" you! That's simply telling you TO BE JESUS IN YOUR WORLD!
"And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid ... but we can face Him with confidence, because WE LIVE LIKE JESUS IN THIS WORLD!" (1Jn.4:17)
And if they ask you why you do these things, just tell "them," "BECAUSE I CAN!" Yes, you can! By the Life-Giving, Overcoming, Empowering Holy Spirit - the very life of Jesus - YOU CAN‼️

[PS - So much is happening around our house right now, I haven't even put up a Tree (I might yet, but that doesn't seem to matter this year.). But I got to do something special for an extremely needy family with kids (Grandparents raising their grandkids) yesterday through the ladies in our HOA @ our Christmas Party.
I was so elated after doing that, and I remembered some of our hardest Christmases when our 5 kids were young. We'd make it a priority to help a family who was having it "harder" than we, and buy gifts for them! WOW! Some of the BEST celebrations we've ever had. (Made us much "richer" for giving!))
