Day 3 - Led by the Spirit - Pastor Belinda🌷 - Walking in Sanctification – A 4-Day Devotional Series

Sanctification is not merely a religious process—it is the work of the Holy Spirit shaping us into the image of Christ. The moment we are saved, God begins separating us from the old life and teaching us to walk in His ways. Paul wrote:

“13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)

Notice that sanctification is “of the Spirit.” We cannot produce holiness by human effort alone. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts, guides, corrects, and empowers us daily. As we surrender to Him, our desires begin to change. Things we once loved lose their grip, and our hearts begin to hunger for righteousness. We begin to hunger to be more like Jesus and less like the world.

Being led by the Spirit means learning to listen to His voice above the noise of the world. He leads us into truth, peace, obedience, and deeper fellowship with Jesus. Sanctification is not perfection overnight—it is a daily yielding to the Spirit of God. It’s a choice we make, to yield or not.

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to lead your steps, purify your heart, and make you more like Christ. The closer you walk with Him, the more His character will shine through your life.

Let us pray;

Father do a work of sanctification in my life. Show me areas that need to be submitted. Let your sanctification have its way in me! In Jesus name! Amen!
