Trusting God’s Will - Pastor Belinda🌷 - Oct. 26, 2026

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

We all know this verse, but yet fear tries to steal our peace. It will try to get just one foot in the door and when it does if you do not rebuke it, it will bring its whole body into your life. Rebuke it in the name of Jesus! It must flee.

Fear will try to enter our hearts when we face uncertainty, troubling circumstances, or situations beyond our control. But we must remember that fear is not from God. God has called us to walk by faith, trusting in His wisdom, His power, and His unfailing love.

Fear sells. Authors, news shows, youtube influencers and even ministers are all guilty of using fear to bring in people who are frightened about the future. Shame on them for using fear to drive God's children into a state of worry and even panic! Walking in faith does not mean we never feel afraid. It means we refuse to let fear have the final word. Instead of allowing fear to dictate our prayers, we come before the Lord with confidence, surrendering our concerns and asking for His perfect will to be done. Then we wait and trust the Good Shepherd to cover us and guide us to where we need to be.

Jesus Himself prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42, KJV). This is the heart of true faith—not demanding that God do things our way, but trusting Him enough to surrender the outcome to Him.

Let's refuse to yield to a spirit of fear. Pray boldly, believe God is able, and trust Him even when you cannot see the whole picture. Our confidence is not in our ability to control the outcome, but in the One who holds all things in His hands.

Let's pray;

Father, in the name of Jesus, I refuse to be governed by fear. Strengthen my faith, quiet my anxious thoughts, and help me trust You completely. Give me courage to pray boldly while surrendering every situation to Your perfect will. Let Your purposes prevail, and let Your peace guard my heart and mind. Not my will, Lord, but Yours be done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May you walk in peace,

Pastor Belinda🌷
