“He has brought me to the house of wine, and his banner over me is love.” — Song of Solomon 2:4 (BSB)

There is a place in God’s presence where His love overwhelms us, His joy strengthens us, and His Spirit refreshes our souls. The house of wine paints a beautiful picture of the abundance, joy, and intimacy we experience when we draw near to the Lord. He invites us beyond simply knowing about Him into a deeper relationship with Him.

In this place, His banner over us is love! A banner identifies who we belong to and declares whose covering we stand under. The Lord’s banner reminds us that we are His beloved, treasured and welcomed into His presence. We do not have to strive to earn His love or prove our worth. His love is a gift of grace, freely given to those who come to Him.

When the world brings confusion, fear, or rejection, we can lift our eyes and remember the banner flying over our lives. We are covered by His faithfulness, surrounded by His goodness, and invited to abide in His love. His presence is a place of safety for our hearts and a fountain of joy for our souls. Its a place we can rest and have peace even in the midst of the storm.

Allow the Lord to draw you closer. Lay down your burdens, quiet your heart, and receive the refreshing of His presence. Let His love become the banner over your thoughts, your home, your family, and everything you do. God has got you and everything that pertains to you. Trust Him.

This next week the annual Tree of Deborah begins on Friday night. Don't miss it. This year's theme is "the house of wine". We want to drink of His spirit until all of the struggles and strife are gone. Let the Lord's presence over take you! His banner over you is love. In the house of wine of the Holy Spirit we will be made new! Refreshed and restored!

Father, draw me deeper into Your presence. Bring me into that place of intimate fellowship where my soul is refreshed by Your Spirit and filled with Your joy. Let Your banner of love cover every area of my life. May everything I do flow from knowing that I am loved by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
